Computer Box is proud to take its place as a ‘Yahoo Pick of the Week’ award winner. Yahoo has now stopped updating the picks after 12 years, but we are still as pleased as punch to see ourselves in the roll of honour. Every week across the world the good folks at Yahoo sifted and surfed and chose between 150 and 200 sites that they saw as being worthy of merit. Their criteria for choices is described below…

Choosing Yahoo! Picks is a democratic process. Our team of surfers — the folks responsible for building the Yahoo! Directory — suggest sites for inclusion in Yahoo! Picks. The candidates are whittled down to a select few by our editorial team. What do we look for? Sites that are different, compelling, educational, and, most of all, entertaining. It’s unlikely you’ll find the latest web site for a new laundry detergent featured in Yahoo! Picks — we strive to find things a little off the beaten path.

Computer Box wears its ‘Yahoo Pick of the Week’ badge on special occasions. The rest of the time we keep it polished on the mantelpiece of life with our long service medal for work within the local community. Twenty three years teaching creative professionals across Sussex….. and we’ve only just begun.

INFORMATION

COMPUTER BOX began in 1987. Our foundations are built on a simple principle. We believe that once people have confidence, they begin to take control of their own learning.

At the start we billed ourselves as Brighton’s original Macintosh trainers. We taught design graduates how to work with Quark and Photoshop. A digital generation down the line, we now work with Web 2.0 publishing platform courses that we are beginning to skype teach across the world.

Over the years we have taught people from some of the largest companies in the country to some of the best new creative companies in Sussex…All the courses are taught one-to-one. One student, one tutor. It’s a unique way to study and a unique way to learn….Welcome to Computer Box, 23 years teaching creative professionals across Sussex and we’ve only just begun…
